The Walton Forum & Walton Community Project - In Detail

What is the Walton Forum?
The Walton Forum was established in 2001 and has a wide range of members including representatives from local business, services and communities groups. It was formed to steer the regeneration of Walton.

How do you know what we want?
In January 2002, over 250 local people attended a public visioning event in Walton. The subsequent findings of the day formed the basis of the work of the Forum.

What resources do we have?
The Forum has been successful in raising money from the Market Town Initiative funding from the East of England Development Agency (EEDA). Thanks to the funding from EEDA and match funding from our various partners including Essex County Council, English Heritage, Tendring District Council, Frinton and Walton Town Council, we are able to deliver significant projects benefiting the town of Walton, it’s residents, businesses and visitors.
